- No Trackers Added — We did not add any trackers, analytics services, or crash reporting tools to Kestrel.
- No Personal Information — We do not collect, store, or process any personal information. No account creation is required to use Kestrel.
- No Third-Party Services — Kestrel operates completely offline. We have not developed any external APIs, cloud services, or third-party integrations that receive your data.
Local Processing
All features of Kestrel operate locally on your device:
- PCAP and PCAPNG file parsing
- Packet analysis and flow reconstruction
- DNS query extraction and anomaly detection
- File carving and media extraction
- Sensitive data scanning

While we have designed Kestrel with security in mind and process all data locally on your device, no software application can guarantee absolute security.

PCAP files may contain sensitive information including passwords, authentication tokens, and personal data transmitted over networks. Users are responsible for handling their capture files appropriately and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. We recommend analyzing only captures from networks you own or have explicit permission to monitor.
