BlackBox is published by Tracivex LLC and is designed with privacy as a core principle. All TeslaCam and Sentry Mode footage analysis happens entirely on your Mac.
What We Don't Collect
- No Data Transmission — Your video files and analysis results remain on your device. BlackBox itself makes no network connections.
- No Trackers Added — We did not add any trackers, analytics services, or crash reporting tools to BlackBox.
- No Personal Information — We do not collect, store, or process any personal information. No account creation is required to use BlackBox.
- No Third-Party Services — BlackBox operates without any external APIs, cloud services, or third-party integrations that receive your data.
About Apple Maps
BlackBox displays GPS coordinates parsed from Tesla’s event metadata. If you click a coordinate, BlackBox hands the location to Apple Maps via the standard macOS share mechanism. Apple Maps is a separate Apple application with its own network behavior — we do not control or receive any data from that handoff. If you do not want any GPS coordinate to leave the BlackBox window, simply do not click the “Open in Maps” control.

While we have designed BlackBox with security in mind and process all data locally on your device, no software application can guarantee absolute security.
